Busman's holiday at this time of the year for myself and Marian. Doing some annual maintenance around the cottage in full beautiful Connemara sunshine. BBQ dusted down and ready for first al - fresco dining of 2024 YUM YUM !!
Trees overgrowing our river have been given a good pruning, this will allow the Trout and Salmon a clear run to spawning grounds at lough Beaghcauneen, which is just 1/2 Kilometer away from the cottage.
Lots of fish in the river taking the local fly, all clearly visible from the Studio Room's east facing window.
Wildlife down here is so inspiring, Swallows and House Martins just arrived yesterday after their long flight. Waiting right now for the Cuckoo to make his annual visit. Could be today, tomorrow....that close !!
So looking forward to another year at Cuach Cottage.
